Research shows that increased coordination positively correlates with increased attention and academic achievement. (For pre-K through 2nd grade educators, or Special Education up to 5th grade.)

Strategies for Inclusion

Inclusion is the celebration of diversity put into action. See how you can promote inclusive experiences in the classroom to foster a sense of belonging and positive social relationships. Learn practical strategies to facilitate children’s successful interactions with peers, and participation in educational activities.

Strategies for Children with Communication Delay

Learn research-based strategies to support your students who are early language learners. You will receive specific tools, including how to use visuals, and ideas to incorporate technology such as video prompting. These will help children express their needs, or wants, understand adult expectations, and make choices to help them make meaningful connections.

Angie is an occupational therapist who enjoys public speaking (which she attributes to years of 4-H experience as a kid). She has frequently presented at teacher conferences, such as The Conference of the Young Years, and for school districts, private preschools and child-care facilities across the state of Missouri. Her recent internship with Youth in Need enhanced onboarding staff education for their Head Start program.

Each of these classes can be customized for a parents and caregivers group meeting. Just ask.

“My co-workers and I are raving about your presentation! We talked about it so much, our Instructional Coach wants our whole staff to hear all the awesomeness you have to share.” -Kim, Kindergarten Teacher

If you and your staff would like to dive deeper into a specific educational topic of your choice, please contact Angie to request the design of your customized class.

Angie says, “What good does it do for only the OT to know these things? I love sharing these concepts from the mind of an occupational therapist with teachers, caregivers, and parent educators: the people to work so closely with the children every day.”
